Job Description:

Aperion Care Kokomo is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Records professional. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and confidentiality of our residents' medical records. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of medical documentation protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accurate and timely filing of all medical records and documents
• Create and maintain a system for organizing and retrieving medical records
• Monitor and update electronic medical records systems
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company policies regarding medical records
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and other staff to obtain necessary medical documentation
• Review and verify the completeness and accuracy of medical records
• Respond to requests for medical records by authorized individuals and organizations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in medical records management or related field
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
• Knowledge of medical documentation protocols and HIPAA regulations
