Central Supply Manager

Providence Place At Glencroft, located in Glendale, is the largest senior living community in Arizona and the 4th largest in the nation. We are currently seeking a Central Supply Manager to join our team.


Job Summary

Under the direction supervision of the Administrator, the Central Supply Manager will be responsible for maintaining an adequate stock of medical supplies and equipment for Providence Place and the Glencroft Campus.


Primary Accountability

The Central Supply Manager must have hands-on familiarity with the established practices and procedures in medical and equipment supply systems. They must have extensive knowledge of good management practices and procedures and the ability to maintain good rapport with residents and staff of the Care Center and the general campus. Strong written and oral communication skills are required.


Essential Functions

  • Monitor, direct, and supervise all Central Supply staff
  • Organize and plan Central Supply activities to ensure adequate and appropriate inventory
  • Set departmental performance standards, goals, and objectives
  • Compile orders, place orders, receive stock, verify correct receipt of stock, document shortages, label stock, shelve stock, distribute stock to various units and departments, and make appropriate computer entries
  • Maintain adequate and appropriate supply of durable medical equipment, including oxygen
  • Monitor and maintain adequate supply of Central Supply Department and/or office supplies
  • Oversee collection and replacement of individual resident charge sheets
  • Responsible for inventory control including monthly inventory records and annual inventory physical count
  • Monitor prices of various vendors to control prices
  • Process invoices and purchase orders in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures
  • Monitor budget allocations and provide budgetary input to Administrator
  • Participate in in-service education and training
  • Provide direct supervision of Central Supply staff, assigning work loads
  • Establish and maintain good rapport with interdepartmental and intradepartmental personnel
  • Ensure personal protective equipment is always in stock
  • Work with Risk Manager on emergency preparedness requirements
  • Ensure department compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and established standards, goals, policies, and procedures
  • Participate in long-range planning for the Central Supply Department

Additional duties may be required as assigned.


Requirements

  • Must possess a genuine interest in and concern for geriatric, chronically ill, and/or disabled persons

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
