Join Loretto Health & Rehabilitation Center located at 700 E. Brighton Ave, Syracuse, NY 13205. Our Syracuse location is comprised of 2 buildings; the Cunningham building, a 13-floor, 487-bed long-term care skilled nursing facility, and Fahey Rehab, a 96-bed short-term residential rehabilitation program - the largest in Central New York. Our Fahey building offers specialized services including Palliative Care and Restorative Care. We offer thorough training and mentorship, as well as excellent wages, as well as flexible scheduling for certain positions. The Charge Nurse, RN, is responsible for:

Performing a variety of duties to provide quality nursing care and to coordinate total nursing care for residents.
Participating in planning, organizing, and reviewing operations, implementing procedures and programs.
Determining work procedures and expediting work flow; ensuring compliance with all operating policies, procedures, and regulations.
Communicating with and supervising appropriate personnel; providing daily and other reports, and performing direct care duties using accepted nursing best practice standards when required.

Resident/Client Care

Performs and assists with various nursing procedures according to the procedure manual.
Assists physicians with treatments or examinations when needed.
Observes treatment and/or services performed by team members or other staff members.
Actively participates in development of realistic, measureable, time-bound goals for the resident and staff.

Compliance

Performs resident care according to policy/procedures/standards and adheres to all third party agency regulations.

Employee Development

Actively participates in orientation for new employees as requested.
Assists with in-services and education of staff. Complies with corporate and regulatory in-service requirements.

Actively participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN or BS in related field preferred.
Current NYS license and registration as an RN in good standing required.
Proven patient assessment and care planning skills.
Current knowledge of best practice nursing standards and care.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay Range $37.03 - $41.59 / hour including shift differential.
