JOB DESCRIPTION: HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Converse Conditioned Air, a reputable HVAC company, is searching for an experienced and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Ames, Iowa. As an HVAC Service Technician with us, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems in residential and commercial properties.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducting routine maintenance checks on HVAC systems to prevent or fix problems
- Responding to emergencies and repairing or replacing faulty components
- Accurately diagnosing HVAC system malfunctions and providing suitable solutions
- Installing complete HVAC systems, including ductwork and electrical wiring
- Following company's safety standards and complying with building regulations
- Providing excellent customer service by explaining technical issues in a clear manner and answering customer questions
- Completing work orders, generating and submitting job reports, and ordering necessary parts and equipment
- Keeping up-to-date with new technologies, regulations and standards in the HVAC industry
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent education, along with 3+ years of experience in HVAC service and repair
- EPA certification is required
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are mandatory
- Good communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues to non-technical individuals
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment, with minimal supervision
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to provide timely and effective solutions
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift heavy items, and work in confined spaces
