Job Description:
GDIT has been supporting the
IHS
mission for 20+ years; working with the agency to provide integral services to raise health access and availability to 2.6 million American Indians and Alaska Natives. You'll be part of modernizing the
EHR
platform to enable better data access, patient experience, and quality of care for 567 tribes, 37 states and over 600 medical facilities.
Our work depends on an Interface Analyst joining our team to support the
Indian Health
Service (
IHS
)
Electronic Health Records
Modernization (EHRM) program. As an Interface Analyst supporting the
IHS
EHRM program, you will be responsible to design and develop integration solutions, providing technical and functional expertise.
This position is fully remote.
HOW An Interface Analyst WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Provide technical guidance for interoperability and integration of interfaces and devices between the
Cerner
EHR
platform and ancillary systems, providers,
public health
agencies, payers, other federal agencies, and patients using exchange standards (e.g. HL7, IHE), specifications and integration platforms.
Participate in development, configuration, customization of standards-based HL7 and APIs needed for health information exchange with the
Cerner
EHR
platform.
Develop, implement and support with HL7 v2, HL7 CCD/CDA and FHIR interfaces.
Work alongside
IHS
and its data partners to analyze key laboratory, radiology, immunization, disease
surveillance
, medical device integration and financial/revenue cycle information for conformance to data specifications and implementation guides.
Assess and develop testing, and integration use case scenarios.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
8+ years of HL7 interface development using Oracle (
Cerner
) integration toolsets
Gathers and documents interface project requirements.
Analyzes current interface functionality, project requirements and future design decisions.
Ability to develop high-level and detailed interface flow design diagrams.
Develop interfaces using the appropriate standards or protocols, such as, HL7, CCD, XML, FTP, web services, API etc.
Experience with Oracle Health interoperability suite such as Open Engine, OPENLink etc.
Experience with interface engines and their architecture
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, if needed.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
8+ years of system integration or HL7 interface development experience (such as designing, building, programming, installing and supporting HL7 interfaces).
Integration development experience such as mapping, scripting, connectivity and configuration
Troubleshooting experience
Knowledge of Oracle Health’s
EHR
suite
Experience supporting federal
EHR
programs

The likely salary range for this position is $93,333 - $126,273. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
