CNA - Gino J. Merli Veterans Center - Scranton, PA

We are currently seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our compassionate team at Gino J. Merli Veterans Center. As a CNA, you will play a crucial role in providing direct care to our residents, helping them with their daily activities and ensuring their overall comfort and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting residents with daily personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

• Monitoring and recording vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature

• Assisting with mobility and transferring residents to and from beds, chairs, or wheelchairs

• Assisting with feeding and ensuring proper nutrition intake

• Documenting and reporting any changes in residents' health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals

• Providing emotional support and companionship to residents

• Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of residents' living spaces

Requirements:

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

• Previous experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting is preferred

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Empathy and compassion for the elderly and disabled

• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others

• Physical stamina and the ability to handle the demands of the job
