Wellspring Lutheran Services, a statewide nonprofit organization serving seniors, families, and children in need of support, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at the Livonia Woods Campus in Livonia, MI.

In this role, you will work alongside a team of nurses, other CNAs, and administrative professionals to provide exceptional care and support to our residents and their families. As a CNA, you will be responsible for attending to the individual needs of residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for all residents.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, transferring, ambulation, and range of motion exercises, among other activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Follow the individualized care plan for each resident and provide support according to their specific needs and preferences.
• Maintain the comfort, privacy, and personal dignity of each resident.
• Understand and uphold residents' rights, reporting any incidents or evidence of abuse or violation of rights.
• Ensure the safety and security of residents' personal belongings.
• Provide care that maintains residents' skin integrity and prevent pressure ulcers and skin tears.
• Respond to residents' call lights promptly and courteously.
• Perform various tasks assigned by the supervisor, such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and documenting care provided.
• Adhere to safety and infection control procedures, including proper hand washing and disposal of materials.
• Assist with orienting new residents and their families to the nursing home upon admission.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License registered with the State of Michigan.
• Six months of prior Certified Nursing Assistant experience in a long-term care setting.

Benefits:

• Competitive starting pay ranging from $16-17.00/hr based on experience/licensure.
• Up to 40 hours per week, working 8-hour shifts.
