Thompson Heating and Cooling Inc. is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Warren, Ohio. As our HVAC Service Technician, you will work both independently and as part of a team to install, repair and maintain HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. You will respond to service calls, diagnose problems, and recommend solutions to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems
- Diagnose and repair problems with HVAC systems, including identifying faulty components and testing equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Replace old or malfunctioning equipment with new HVAC systems and components
- Troubleshoot HVAC systems and provide recommendations for repair or replacement, as needed
- Utilize our customer service software to document service calls, complete work orders, and manage inventory
- Communicate with customers, offering recommendations and advice on repeat service and maintenance
- Provide after-hours support, responding to emergency calls as needed
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- HVAC certification or relevant work experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Solid communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
