At Duncanville Healthcare And Rehabilitation Center, we have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Development Coordinator to join our team. As a Staff Development Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continued professional growth and development of our nursing staff.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage staff development programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of our nursing staff.
• Coordinate and deliver educational programs, training sessions, and workshops for nursing staff.
• Assess staff learning needs and create customized development plans.
• Collaborate with nursing managers to identify areas for improvement and design training initiatives.
• Stay up-to-date with current healthcare practices and regulations to ensure training materials align with industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of staff participation and track progress towards training goals.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and assessment methods.
• Provide guidance and support to new-hire nurses during orientation.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in staff development.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Active LVN or RN license in the state of Texas.
• Prior experience in staff development and/or training coordination.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively engage and motivate staff in a learning environment.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Organizational and time management abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
