Contract overview

This is a placement contract between you and the employer. If the employer hires a candidate you submit, you'll be paid the contract amount.

The payments begin when the candidate starts and are disbursed over time. The contract terms are:

Market price: $3,000 USD

Payment schedule: Paid quarterly over 4 quarters

Chesterton Manor is seeking an Activities Director for our skilled nursing home facility in Chesterton, IN.


The Activities Director plans, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the Activity Programs to ensure that the emotional, recreational, and social needs of the residents are met and maintained on an individual basis.


Pay rate: $21/Hr


This is a Full-Time position


Responsibilities:

  • Plan and create a monthly calendar, outlining activities for the month including movies, parties, games, projects, crafts, resources, and field trips for residents.
  • Identify and monitor the spiritual, social, recreational, and emotional needs of residents through routine interviews, visits, and consultations with residents and their families.
  • Encourage residents to develop physical and educational skills through participation in activities.
  • Ensure nursing supervisors assist residents with the selection of activities in compliance with physicians’ orders.
  • Responsible for resident shopping requests.
  • Assist in managing the smoking program.
  • Coordinate resident council meetings on a monthly basis.
  • Posting to PCC on resident activities.

Education & Qualifications

  • A certified Activity Director with experience in Long Term Care is preferred, or previous work experience under a Certified Activity Consultant is required.
  • Must be 18 years and older.
  • Have a certification in NCCAP.
  • COVID-19 vaccine is required unless an approved exemption is presented upon hiring.
