Pruitthealth- Orangeburg is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Laundry Aide to join our team. As a Laundry Aide, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for our residents and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute clean linens and personal clothing
• Operate commercial laundry equipment
• Ensure proper handling and storage of soiled linens and garments
• Inspect linen for stains and damage; report any issues to supervisor
• Follow infection control and safety procedures
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and request replenishment as needed
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness of laundry area
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient laundry operations

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred
• Knowledge of proper laundering techniques and garment care
• Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment and follow safety protocols
• Strong attention to detail
• Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy items
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
