Job Title: Security Installation Technician Job Description As a Security Installation Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, programming, and testing of various low voltage electronic systems, with a strong emphasis on government security systems. These systems may include: Video surveillance (CCTV) Intrusion detection Access control Intercom Fire detection Data/communication Audio/visual systems Your role will involve ensuring customer acceptance by performing thorough testing post-installation. You will also utilize your problem-solving skills to effectively execute tasks on the job site, minimizing the need for return visits. Hard Skills Installation of low voltage electronic systems, particularly government security systems Programming of electronic systems Testing and troubleshooting installed systems Work Site This is a fully on-site position based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Work Environment Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week Typical hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM Some jobs may require a start time of 6 AM or 8 AM Breaks: Two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch break Overtime: Optional overtime available Job Locations Government Sites: 80% of work will be on government sites, including: Peterson Air Force Base Air Force Academy Schriever Air Force Base Buckley Air Force Base Commercial Sites: 20% of work will be on commercial sites, including: El Paso County City of Denver Douglas County Colorado Springs Utilities contracts Travel and Reimbursement Locations within 60 miles of the office do not receive travel reimbursement. For jobs over 60 miles away, the company will cover one-way travel expenses. Carpooling in company-owned vans is common for jobs that are farther away. Note: Experience with the installation of government security systems, particularly CCTV and access control systems, is REQUIRED.
