Human Resources (HR) Assistant

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant in the public transport industry based in Glendale, New York. As an HR Assistant, your role will entail maintaining detailed records, processing applications, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: • Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner • Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure accuracy • Handle customer inquiries proficiently and provide prompt responses • Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate action when necessary • Perform auditing tasks and ensure compliance with company standards • Utilize HRMS, ADP - Financial Services, and ADP Workforce Now for various HR functions • Conduct background checks as part of the application process • Deliver customer service that aligns with the company's standards and values • Utilize 'About Time' software for time management and productivity • Perform benefit functions to ensure employees are aware and can make use of their benefits. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Human Resources role within the Public Transport industry • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now • Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode • Experience with Ceridian and HRMS software • Knowledge in 'About Time' software for time tracking • Previous involvement in auditing processes • Ability to perform background checks in compliance with legal and company standards • Understanding of benefit functions and their implementation • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on communication and problem-solving • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred • Must have the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
