Job Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team. As a Painter at Florida Presbyterian Homes, you will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces throughout our facilities. Your attention to detail and ability to complete projects in a timely manner will contribute to maintaining the aesthetic appeal of our community.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, and sanding as necessary
• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces according to pre-determined specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while completing projects
• Ensure accurate color matching and consistency of finish
• Repair and patch surfaces as needed
• Keep up-to-date with the latest painting techniques and materials
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to relevant health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure efficient operations

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a professional painter is required
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools
• Ability to accurately color match and mix paint
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
• Good physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
