Position Summary

As a Van Driver-Hourly, you will be responsible for transporting residents to and from various locations, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey. You will play a key role in enhancing the overall experience for our residents, as you will be their primary point of contact during transportation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation for residents to scheduled appointments, outings, and activities.
• Follow designated routes and schedules while ensuring adherence to traffic rules and regulations.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle, offering any necessary support or accommodations.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, conducting regular inspections and reporting any issues or malfunctions.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members to ensure a seamless transportation experience.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or driving violations to the appropriate authorities and to the facility management.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to transportation services.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in transportation services, preferably in a healthcare or senior care setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Working Conditions

This position requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as transportation needs may vary. You will primarily work in the van, with occasional office or facility-based tasks.
