Summary See below for important information regarding this job. Responsibilities Serves as the Site Director, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Installation Management (DM) San Joaquin (DM-FJ). Directs mission support for base operations functions to maintain a safe and secure work environment for the 1,420+ employees from DLA and other Tenant Activities working at Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin, California (DDJC). Serves as the principal advisor to the Director, DLA Installation Management (DM). Works and coordinates with the Commander, DLA Distribution San Joaquin, DDC, in directing the accomplishment of assigned programs supporting operations. Provides support in effectively managing and administering assigned mission/functions. Provides oversight for base operations functions for DLA and tenant activities including Security and Emergency Services, Facilities Management, Operations, and Maintenance and Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for a Supervisory DM San Joaquin Site Director, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Supervising and overseeing a wide variety of support services including Security and Emergency Services, Facilities Management, Operations, and Maintenance and Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR). Serving as a principal advisor in directing, supporting, and implementing policies and objectives related to installation management. Planning and resource management, including developing short- and long-range plans for a wide variety of programs. Developing performance plans, evaluating work performance of subordinates, providing recommended ratings of record. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
