Contract overview

This is a placement contract between you and the employer. If the employer hires a candidate you submit, you'll be paid the contract amount.

The payments begin when the candidate starts and are disbursed over time. The contract terms are:

Market price: $5,400 USDEst.

Payment schedule: Paid monthly over 11 months

Job Posting for Veterinary Technician (At least 3 years technician experience) at Utah Veterinary Hospital

Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
  • Perform various laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
  • Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments
  • Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of animals
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate records of patient history, treatments, and medications

Qualifications:

  • Certification or degree in veterinary technology or related field
  • Experience working as a veterinary technician required
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and aseptic technique
  • Familiarity with animal husbandry practices and animal care protocols
  • Proficiency in handling and restraining animals safely and effectively
  • Ability to perform basic laboratory tests and use medical equipment
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary team members

Skills:

  • Veterinary terminology: Understanding of medical terms used in veterinary medicine
  • Kennel: Experience in managing kennel operations, including feeding, exercising, and cleaning
  • Aseptic technique: Knowledge of sterile techniques to maintain a clean surgical environment
  • Animal husbandry: Understanding of proper animal care practices, including nutrition, hygiene, and housing
  • Animal care: Ability to provide compassionate care for animals in various settings
  • Laboratory: Proficiency in performing basic laboratory tests and analyzing results
  • Animal physiology: Knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of different animal species

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
