Buyer Assistant

Eatonu2019s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Buyer Assistant.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.52 - $25.15 per hour.

What youu2019ll do:

FUNCTION PRINCIPAL:

Monitor Operational situations affecting all Beaver Plant, including daily monitoring with their Supply Chain Managers, and purchasing teams, as well as monitoring the suppliers involved with the objective of avoiding the impact on sales, as well as situations market level, giving visibility to the Beaver Supply chain team, it is required to physically visit the affected plants and suppliers depending on whether the operational impact warrants it.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

u2022 Work as liaison between plant and supplier by monitoring material shortage reports that could impact sales.

u2022 Update reports for Production and Operations

u2022 Communicate daily critical materials and their status to the Buyers/Planners.

u2022 Send monthly forecast to suppliers.

u2022 Enter and maintain Purchase orders

u2022 Update PO acknowledgements, and due dates

u2022 Maintain Supplier KPIu2019s

u2022 Ensure data integrity

2.1 - Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS):

1. Attend all Safety, Health and Environment training that is assigned.

2. Comply with 5S/MESH requirements.

3. Responsible for ensuring safety regulations as well as the policies established by Eaton.

4. Non-compliance with safety procedures may lead to minor accidents and/or injuries depending on the functions.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

u2022 At least 1 year of Supply Chain Experience

u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred qualifications:

u2022 Associates Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management

u2022 Two years or more experience in Supply Chain

u2022 Previous experience in roles such as materials or purchasing assistance

u2022 Previous use of AS 400
