Living Branches is an association of not-for-profit continuing care retirement communities sponsored by the Franconia Mennonite Conference of Mennonite Church USA. Our communities of The Willows, Souderton Mennonite Homes, and Dock Woods are dedicated to providing quality, life-enriching services on three campuses in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The organization employs over 600 team members and offers a wide range of housing, support services, and life-enriching activities for more than 1,350 residents.
Volunteer: Men's Koffee Klatch Host
Living Branches is looking for outgoing, personable men to lead a coffee time with our male personal care and health care residents. As a Men's Koffee Klatch Host, your role will involve facilitating coffee gatherings where you will engage with residents, listen to their stories, and provide encouragement and empathy. This volunteer opportunity is a chance to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and create meaningful connections within our community.
Responsibilities:
- Lead coffee gatherings with male personal care and health care residents
- Engage with residents and create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere
- Listen to residents' stories and provide a supportive and empathetic presence
- Encourage participation and facilitate conversations among residents
- Collaborate with the team to plan and coordinate coffee gatherings
Qualifications:
- Genuine interest in connecting with and supporting older adults
- Excellent listening skills and ability to engage in meaningful conversations
- Empathetic and compassionate attitude towards residents
- Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment
- Reliable and punctual
