Position: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant at Canyon Oaks Nursing And Rehabilitation Center, you will play a crucial role in assisting our Occupational Therapists in providing high-quality therapy services to our residents. You will work closely with the therapy team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans, focusing on enabling our residents to regain their daily living skills and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct therapy services under the guidance and supervision of Occupational Therapists

- Assist in evaluating residents' needs and developing individualized treatment plans

- Conduct therapy sessions and implement treatment interventions to address residents' specific goals

- Monitor and document residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and caregivers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care

- Educate residents and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for maximizing independence

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy services provided

Qualifications:

- Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field

- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniques

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Strong organizational and time management skills
