Squirrel Hill Wellness And Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activities Aide to join our team. As an Activities Aide, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging environment for our residents, ensuring that they have meaningful and enjoyable experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and implementing a variety of recreational activities for residents of all abilities and interests
• Encourage participation and engagement in activities to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents
• Adapt activities to meet the individual needs and preferences of residents
• Set up and organize activity areas, ensuring they are clean and safe
• Provide assistance to residents during activities, ensuring their comfort and enjoyment
• Maintain records of resident participation and progress
• Collaborate with the activities team to develop and evaluate activity programs
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
• Uphold privacy and confidentiality guidelines in all interactions
• Follow all safety and infection control procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Patience and compassion for older adults
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
