Job Summary
Mount Olivet Home is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in assisting with meal preparation, serving residents, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation following specific dietary guidelines and restrictions
- Serve meals to residents in a courteous and efficient manner
- Ensure residents' dietary needs are met and any special requests are accommodated
- Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Stock and organize food and supplies
- Assist with inventory management and ordering
- Collaborate with the dietary team to provide excellent service and maintain a positive dining experience for residents
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a similar role or in a kitchen environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Understanding of special dietary needs and restrictions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks
