Nurse Practitioner (NP) | Wound Care | Part-Time

Healogics is hiring a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) for our Wound Care Center at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, MA. We offer Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapy training. Join us and help heal patients!

Schedule

2-3 days per week

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients for wound care, ensuring delivered care meets current standards of practice
• Adhere to Healogics clinical practice guidelines for wound care
• Perform nursing care that is accurate, efficient, and consistent with the patient's needs
• Coordinate the patient's plan of care with the physician and the facility's clinical disciplines to address patient needs and evaluate the effectiveness of care
• Assess changes to the patient's medical condition to ensure healing outcome goals
• Provide education to the facility staff regarding the management of the patient's wound(s)
• Maintain communication and a working relationship with the facility Administrator, DON, team of healthcare providers, and patient family members
• Demonstrate competency in wound care including assessment, debridement, wound dressings, skin substitutes, and hyperbaric oxygen treatment
• Participate in the Quality Improvement Program to optimize quality service and maintain a high level of patient satisfaction
• Act as a patient advocate, initiating action to provide continuity of care outside the facility setting

Requirements

• MSN, Board certified Nurse Practitioner license, DEA License
• 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
• Wound Care and Dermatology experience is a plus
