Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
We are a leading provider of quality construction, electrical, and air conditioning services for homes and businesses in Lapeer, Michigan. We are currently looking for an experienced and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team.
As a HVAC Service Technician with Kapala Heating & A/C, you will be responsible for performing routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance on heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems. You will diagnose and troubleshoot issues, install new systems, and ensure that equipment is running efficiently.
We are looking for someone who has a solid understanding of HVAC systems and is knowledgeable of industry standards and safety measures. You should be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and have excellent communication skills. In addition, you should be able to work independently, as well as part of a team of professionals.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance on heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems
• Install new HVAC systems and components
• Follow industry standards and safety guidelines
• Ensure that equipment is running efficiently, and make recommendations for repairs or upgrades
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience as a HVAC Service Technician
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair
• Experience with electrical systems, plumbing, and refrigeration a plus
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
