Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
Join our team at F Wackenhut Co as an HVAC Service Technician. We are a leading provider of HVAC solutions in Jamison Pennsylvania, and we are growing our team to meet the demands of our expanding customer base. As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing top-quality service to our clients by maintaining, repairing, and installing HVAC systems.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and optimal performance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system problems to identify the root cause and recommend appropriate solutions
- Repair and replace HVAC system components, including compressors, motors, fans, and electrical wiring
- Install new HVAC systems and components, including ductwork, piping, and controls
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and installations performed
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain system issues and recommended solutions
- Stay current with industry advancements and new technologies to improve service quality
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a post-secondary technical training program is preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends when necessary
- 2+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician
