How do I issue a partial refund without cancelling the whole booking?
Stripe partial refunds exist; staff UI is cancel and refund—use Stripe Dashboard to refund and keep the reservation.
Stripe supports partial refunds on connected charges, but Zettlor staff UI focuses on cancel-and-refund—not a keep-booking partial refund button. For sauna and cold plunge sessions you want to keep on the books, issue the partial refund in Stripe Dashboard while leaving the reservation active in Zettlor.
What Zettlor does today
Stripe supports partial refunds on charges. Staff cancel flows refund and cancel together. Zettlor does not have a one-click refund that keeps the booking in the desk UI today.
This behavior is partial: some of it is live, and the rest is a desk workaround rather than a missing settings screen you should hunt for. Guest booking, cancel, and credit self-serve steps stay on Help. This page is for operators.
Desk path
Find the charge in Stripe Dashboard for the connected account. Issue a partial refund for the goodwill amount. Leave the reservation confirmed in Zettlor unless you also intend to cancel attendance.
Do not invent a settings path beyond what is listed here. If the product does not include a control, the desk workaround is the path.
Failure mode
Managers cancel a booking to refund $20 and accidentally free a sold-out cold plunge slot. The partial refund should have stayed in Stripe while the seat remained booked.
Operator example
Ro refunds half of a host fee in Stripe after a shortened private session but keeps the reservation row so the sauna block stays sold.
A sauna and cold plunge operator can copy the shape of this example without copying another brand's private pricing or customer lists.
How to do this
- Locate the payment in Stripe Dashboard on your connected account.
- Issue a partial refund for the amount you want to return.
- Confirm the reservation remains confirmed in Zettlor if guests should still attend.
