How do I format store product descriptions?

What Zettlor does today

Store pages and product drawers render description fields as Markdown. Plain text works; Markdown adds bullets, emphasis, and links without custom HTML.

This behavior is live in Zettlor today for a commercial sauna and cold plunge room. Guest booking, cancel, and credit self-serve steps stay on Help. This page is for operators.

Desk path

Edit retail items at Store → Retail Items or store page entries at Pages → Store. Paste Markdown in the description field and preview on the public store page.

Do not invent a settings path beyond what is listed here. If the product does not include a control, the desk workaround is the path.

Failure mode

Operators paste HTML or rich-text from email and see broken tags or stripped formatting. Markdown-only rendering drops unsupported markup and the product looks unprofessional on mobile.

Alchemy formats a cold plunge bundle description with Markdown bullets for towel, timer, and plunge access—the list renders cleanly on the store drawer.

A sauna and cold plunge operator can copy the shape of this example without copying another brand's private pricing or customer lists.

How to do this

1. Open Store → Retail Items or the store page editor.
2. Write the description in Markdown—headings, lists, and links—not raw HTML.
3. Preview the public store page to confirm the formatting appears as you expect.
