How do group bookings work — one SKU with a volume discount, or separate products?

Group sauna and cold plunge visits use quantity on one reservation; volume discounts are buyout or tier strategies, not a general shared-product volume table.

ZettlorUpdated August 26, 2026

Guests book quantity on a single reservation for the same slot. Volume discounting is partial: buyout strategy and pricing tiers cover some cases, not a universal shared-product volume table.

What Zettlor does today

One reservation can carry quantity for multiple guests on one slot. Zettlor does not automatically apply volume discounts on every shared-capacity offering. Buyout pricing and pricing tiers can encode group or volume rules for specific offerings.

This behavior is partial: some of it is live, and the rest is a desk workaround rather than a missing settings screen you should hunt for. Guest booking, cancel, and credit self-serve steps stay on Help. This page is for operators.

Desk path

Schedule → create reservation with quantity; Scheduling → Pricing for tier or buyout group pricing.

Do not invent a settings path beyond what is listed here. If the product does not include a control, the desk workaround is the path.

Failure mode

Operators expect a volume-discount table on every shared product. Without buyout or tier setup, each seat prices at the standard per-seat rate.

Operator example

Alchemy books a six-guest cold plunge slot as quantity 6 on one reservation; a separate group-rate tier on a buyout offering covers their private party package.

A sauna and cold plunge operator can copy the shape of this example without copying another brand's private pricing or customer lists.

How to do this

  1. Confirm the slot has enough shared-capacity seats for the group size.
  2. Create one reservation with quantity matching the group on Schedule or guest checkout.
  3. For discounted group pricing, add a pricing tier or buyout strategy on the offering.
  4. Verify checkout total reflects tier rules, not only per-seat multiplication.
  5. Split into separate products only when offerings truly differ, not for same-slot volume.

Is there a global volume discount table?

No. Quantity on one reservation is supported; automatic volume tables on every shared offering are not built.

How do I price a private group package?

Use buyout strategy or pricing tier on the private or buyout offering, then book quantity or buyout as your package requires.
