How do I guarantee a reserved seat for someone driving in?
Hold capacity for a guest en route using a confirmed reservation, not a dedicated driving hold.
A confirmed reservation holds capacity on the slot. Checkout hold is checkout protection only and is not an on-the-way hold for someone driving in.
What Zettlor does today
Confirmed bookings reserve seats. Checkout holds expire when checkout stalls. There is no dedicated driving or en-route hold type. Staff can create a confirmed reservation at the desk to guarantee the seat before the guest arrives.
This behavior is partial: some of it is live, and the rest is a desk workaround rather than a missing settings screen you should hunt for. Guest booking, cancel, and credit self-serve steps stay on Help. This page is for operators.
Desk path
Schedule → create reservation for the guest on the target sauna or cold plunge slot.
Do not invent a settings path beyond what is listed here. If the product does not include a control, the desk workaround is the path.
Failure mode
Staff assume an active checkout hold reserves a seat for a late guest. Holds expire; another guest can confirm and take the last seat before the driver arrives.
Operator example
Ro staff see a member calling from the road, open Schedule, and book them into the next sauna slot so capacity is held before they park.
A sauna and cold plunge operator can copy the shape of this example without copying another brand's private pricing or customer lists.
How to do this
- Identify the sauna or cold plunge slot the guest needs on Schedule.
- Create a confirmed reservation at the desk for that guest and slot.
- Confirm held seats reflect the booking on the schedule row.
- Tell the guest their seat is reserved; they complete payment at arrival if needed.
- Do not rely on an unpaid checkout hold as a driving guarantee.
