How do staff check guests in on session day, and mark a no-show?

Check in sauna and cold plunge guests on session day and mark no-shows for fee and capacity tracking.

ZettlorUpdated August 26, 2026

You check guests in from the guest row on the staff schedule and mark no-show when someone does not arrive. No-show fees depend on this mark—see the booking guide for fee rules.

What Zettlor does today

Check-in and no-show actions live on the guest row or booking from Schedule. Marking no-show is required before no-show fee logic can apply on eligible bookings.

This behavior is live in Zettlor today for a commercial sauna and cold plunge room. Guest booking, cancel, and credit self-serve steps stay on Help. This page is for operators.

Desk path

Open today's session on Schedule, check in arrivals as they reach the desk or kiosk, and mark remaining unarrived guests as no-show after your grace period.

Do not invent a settings path beyond what is listed here. If the product does not include a control, the desk workaround is the path.

Failure mode

Forgetting to mark no-shows leaves seats looking occupied and can block no-show fees. Late check-ins after a no-show mark may need staff correction on the guest row.

Operator example

At Alchemy, desk staff check in the first cold plunge wave at the door and mark no-show on no-arrival bookings before releasing seats to the waitlist.

A sauna and cold plunge operator can copy the shape of this example without copying another brand's private pricing or customer lists.

How to do this

  1. Open Schedule for the current sauna and cold plunge session.
  2. Check in each guest as they arrive at the desk or kiosk.
  3. After your grace period, mark unarrived bookings as no-show on the guest row.
  4. Release or rebook seats according to your capacity rules.
  5. Review no-show fee eligibility using the booking no-show fees guide.

Do no-show fees apply automatically?

No. You must mark no-show first. Fee rules are described in the booking guide for no-show fees.

Can guests self check-in instead of desk check-in?

Yes. IRL kiosk check-in updates the same guest state as desk check-in for sauna and cold plunge sessions.
