How does an existing membership port to Zettlor without a second checkout?
Staff link an existing Stripe subscription on the customer, or import membership and credit records. The guest does not check out again.
Staff attach the existing Stripe subscription to the customer record so the membership continues without a second guest checkout. CSV and universal import can also create membership and credits on the customer for the same person.
What Zettlor does today
On CRM → Customers, staff link a Stripe subscription that already exists. Import creates membership plus credits without sending the guest through public checkout. Spendable membership credits follow the linked subscription status, not a new cart purchase.
This behavior is live in Zettlor today for a commercial sauna and cold plunge room. Guest booking, cancel, and credit self-serve steps stay on Help. This page is for operators.
Desk path
Open CRM → Customers, find the guest, and link the Stripe subscription. For a bulk cutover, use Advanced → Import rather than asking members to buy again.
Do not invent a settings path beyond what is listed here. If the product does not include a control, the desk workaround is the path.
Failure mode
Operators send every member a new checkout link. Stripe creates a second subscription, double-charges, and the original plan keeps billing in the old system.
Operator example
Alchemy ports founding members by linking each Stripe subscription on CRM → Customers during cutover so nobody pays a second signup fee for the same sauna and cold plunge plan.
A sauna and cold plunge operator can copy the shape of this example without copying another brand's private pricing or customer lists.
How to do this
- Open the customer on CRM → Customers.
- Link the existing Stripe subscription instead of creating a new checkout.
- Confirm membership status and that credits are active and spendable.
- For a list of members, run Advanced → Import rather than one-off guest checkouts.
Related questions
Does the member need to enter a card again?
No. Linking the existing Stripe subscription keeps billing on the original payment method. Do not send a second public checkout.
Can import create the membership without Stripe link?
Import can create membership and credits on the customer. Link Stripe when the subscription should keep billing in Stripe.
