How do I limit an intro offer or founding pack to one purchase per guest?

There is no confirmed one-purchase-per-profile toggle. Sell founding and intro offers with Private Link, uncheck Published to sunset, and track purchases at the desk.

There is no confirmed Store → Products toggle that hard-limits an intro offer or founding pack to one purchase per guest profile. Founding and intro packs are sold today with private-link merchandising, unpublish / sunset controls, and desk tracking—not a one-per-customer lock on the product itself.

What Zettlor does today

This behavior is partial / not in product as a dedicated single-purchase-per-profile setting. What is live: keep a founding or corporate membership Published and hide it behind Pages → Store Visibility → Private Link (or the product shareable URL); uncheck Published to stop new purchase without cancelling existing Stripe subscribers; create intro punch packs or discovery products under Store → Products; and run cart promos under Store → Promos for session or pack lines (membership subscription lines reject cart promos).

What is not documented: Settings → Limit to one purchase, a per-product “customers may buy once” checkbox, or an automatic block that refuses a second founding checkout on the same guest profile. Until that control exists, enforce one-per-guest limits with Private Link distribution, desk checks, and notes on the customer.

Guest booking, cancel, and credit self-serve steps stay on Help. This page is for operators.

Desk path

Store → Products for the founding membership or intro pack. For limited distribution: leave Published on and share a Private Link or product shareable URL (see live hidden-plan-link). To close the founding window: uncheck Published (see live sunset-plan). For repurchase policing today: CRM → Customers search before desk-sold founding packs, and note the purchase on the customer. Store → Promos can discount eligible cart lines but is not a one-per-guest membership lock.

Do not invent a settings path beyond what is listed here. If the product does not include a control, the desk workaround is the path.

Failure mode

Operators assume the founding pack “just won’t sell twice” because another booking product showed a one-purchase switch. A guest buys the founding rate, cancels or churns, and checkouts again at the same URL. Or staff uncheck Published thinking that cancels everyone—existing Stripe subscribers keep the plan; only new purchase stops. Another failure: stuffing a membership subscription into a cart promo and wondering why checkout rejects the code.

Operator example

Rytual launches a founding sauna and cold plunge membership at a locked rate for the first fifty households. Staff keep the plan Published, put it on a Pages → Store page with Private Link visibility, and send the URL only to the waitlist. Desk checks CRM → Customers before manually selling the same pack in person. When the founding window closes, they uncheck Published so walk-ups cannot buy that rate; current founding members keep billing. There is no product flag that auto-blocks a second founding checkout on one profile—ops owns the list.

A sauna and cold plunge operator can copy the shape of this example without copying another brand's private pricing or customer lists.

How to do this

  1. Decide whether the offer is a recurring founding membership or a one-time intro / punch pack under Store → Products.
  2. If the plan must stay off the public catalog, leave Published on and sell only via Private Link or the product shareable URL—do not uncheck Published unless you mean to stop every new checkout on that URL.
  3. Before desk-selling an intro pack, open CRM → Customers and confirm the guest has not already purchased that pack; note the sale on the profile.
  4. Use Store → Promos only for cart-eligible session or pack discounts; do not expect cart promos to enforce one-per-guest on membership subscriptions.
  5. When the founding or intro window ends, uncheck Published so new guests cannot buy; leave Stripe subscriptions alone unless you intend to cancel them.
  6. If a guest already bought and tries again, refuse at the desk or redirect them to the current public membership—do not invent a settings toggle that does not appear on the product.
  7. Until a one-purchase-per-guest control exists in Store → Products, treat repurchase limits as ops policy plus private-link distribution.

No. Private Link hides the SKU from the public store while the URL still sells. It does not refuse a second checkout by the same guest who already has the link.

Does unchecking Published cancel founding members?

No. Unchecking Published stops new purchase. Existing Stripe subscriptions continue until they cancel or fail. See sunset-plan.

Can a promo code act as a single-purchase lock?

Cart promos discount eligible lines after validation; they are not a membership one-per-profile hard lock, and checkout rejects promos when the cart includes a membership subscription.
